The situation with energy in Ukraine is managed to stabilize

In the fall of 2022, due to russian missile attacks, Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been suffered extensive damage. According to some officials, up to 40% of the country’s energy system was incapacitated. Thus, russia tried to provoke a humanitarian crisis and leave people without any access to electricity and the opportunity to warm up in winter.

In order to improve the energy situation and reduce the load on the network, a schedule of power outages was created for regions throughout Ukraine. The majority of the population did not have access to electricity in their homes for hours and sometimes even for weeks. Ukraine has established «Points of Invincibility» to help people and provide access to the necessary reserves and electricity.

In November, the director of the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) Representative Office in Ukraine Andriy Negrych, told BBC World News about the situation with lighting in the capital of Ukraine. We will remind, GEM is an American charitable foundation that helps Ukrainians from the first day of a full-scale invasion. In particular, GEM provided assistance to more than 200 «Points of Invincibility»: these were products for long-term storage and power generators.

Nowadays, the situation with energy in Ukraine is managed to stabilize. According to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, electricity generation in Ukraine is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Although, due to repair works, there still may be power outages in certain regions. In addition, in order to stabilize the situation, Ukraine imports electricity from European countries.
