Russia is planning a terrorist attack in Belarus to draw it into a war with Ukraine

Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) says that Russians are preparing a "false flag" provocation to draw Belarus into direct hostilities against Ukraine.

According to intelligence, the provocation, in the form of a terrorist attack, is planned to be carried out at the Mozyr Oil Refinery. A sabotage and reconnaissance group of Russian military and intelligence officers sent to Belarus under the guise of "Wagnerites" is preparing the attack.

"This Russian sabotage group is supposed to commit a provocation at the refinery, pretending to be 'Ukrainian saboteurs'. The Russian Federation plans to blame Ukraine for the crime to once again try to drag Minsk into a full-scale war against our country.

The SSU received information about the planned terrorist attack in Belarus from several sources. In particular, from the testimony of a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces, who was captured by Ukrainian defenders in the Zaporizhzhia sector."

The SSU says that information about a "special mission" at the Mozyr Oil Refinery was found on the captured Russian's cell phone.

"In his phone, SSU cyber specialists found deleted correspondence with other performers, pictures of the facility, and some information about the operation," the statement said.
