Global Empowerment Mission continues to support Kherson region

The American charitable fund Global Empowerment Mission, in collaboration with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, continues to support Ukraine and its people during the war.

The American charitable organization Global Empowerment Mission, founded by Michael Capponi, has been helping Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale war in the country.

On the official Facebook page of the Kherson Regional State Administration, they wrote about the cooperation with GEM:

«The American people consistently support Kherson. Among our reliable partners are the Howard G. Buffett Foundation and Global Empowerment Mission. And today, the philanthropists once again came to our aid.

Volunteers delivered food packages and water to people affected by flooding.

To mitigate the consequences of the disaster, Kherson received generators and agricultural machinery.

The Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, met with the philanthropists. The mission was joined by American businessman Howard Buffett and the Chairman and Founder of GEM, Michael Capponi.

During the meeting, the main areas of cooperation were identified. These include support for agriculture, humanitarian demining, and assistance to the police. They also agreed on strategic cooperation, including attracting investments to the region.

Representatives of GEM visited the affected areas where their assistance will be directed.

We thank you for the systematic support of Kherson and your contribution to its recovery and development.»

The dam was blown up two weeks ago and caused massive flooding and the region’s entire water supply to be cut off. Thousands of homes were submerged in over 20 feet of flooding.

Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine in partnership with HGBF has committed to distributing 800,000 liters of water and 30,000 boxes for the first month alone. In this series you will see 3 of the 80 full size trucks of vital aid that has been committed.

In just 15 days, GEM UA teams have been able to already distribute over 336,960 liters of water, 15,550 family necessities kits, 100 generators and hundreds of mattresses.
