The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has unanimously recognized Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide and the terrorist regime in Russia as racism.
This was announced by the Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Yehor Chernev.

According to Chernev, the Assembly session in Luxembourg adopted a declaration containing the unanimous support of NATO parliamentarians for the international tribunal, and assistance to Ukraine before and after the victory.

In addition, the document recognizes Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide, condemns the ideology of racism, and supports the restoration of territorial integrity, sanctions, reparations, and the "Marshall Plan" for Ukraine, the MP noted.

"At the Assembly's session in Luxembourg, we achieved the adoption of an extremely strong declaration that will have far-reaching political consequences," stated Chernev.

In addition, the assembly called on their governments to openly announce at the summit in Vilnius that Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance and to agree on the next concrete steps for Ukraine's accession to NATO.

"This is our diplomatic victory. All of our key suggestions for the final text of the declaration have been taken into account," said Chernev.

The MP emphasized that thanks to this decision, "the foundation for the NATO summit in Vilnius has been laid." "The parliamentarians of the Alliance countries have expressed their position. Now it's up to the governments," the MP added.
