The Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, stated that the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine could take place within the next 4-6 weeks.

Additionally, the spokesperson for the Polish government, Piotr Muller, said that Warsaw has received «clear statements» from several countries that wish to supply Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets.

This was reported by Bloomberg

However, Piotr Muller did not specify which countries he was referring to.

Earlier, the Minister of Defence of Slovakia, Jaroslav Nad, stated his readiness for joint transfer of fighters with Poland, if the appropriate decision is made in the Slovak government. However, the decision on this is being delayed due to political struggles ahead of early elections in September.
Overall, among other NATO members, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania are equipped with MiG fighters.

In addition, Politico reports that a group of senators from both parties is pressuring the head of the Pentagon to provide more information about what is needed to send F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
The war between Russia and Ukraine is «currently at a critical stage», the senators write, arguing that F-16 fighters could give Kiev an advantage, as Russia's full-scale invasion has now entered its second year.

Ukraine has been in talks with its Western partners for transfer of fighter jets for quite some time now. In the last few days, Ukraine has been sounding air attack alarms 4-5 times a day due to the activity of hostile aviation and the threat of missile strikes from Russia.

On the morning of March 15th, during one of the air alarms, the enemy shelled Kharkiv. Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, stated that there were no military facilities in the area of the landing site, only residential buildings and city infrastructure.

«The shelling was in one of the districts of Kharkiv. An orphanage was affected and a residential building was also damaged. Currently, the utility services are examining it and we are cleaning up the damage caused by the enemy shelling. The orphanage was serving people with certain life difficulties but fortunately, no one was injured».
